After the initial confusion surrounding the sending of the incendiary letters, the police are closing in on the architecture surrounding this event. Despite the fact that at the moment the investigation by the General Information Commissariat is far from being channelled around a concrete hypothesis, the agents have managed to locate the origin of the mailings.
Valladolid is the city from which the letters were sent to Pedro Sánchez, Margarita Robles, an arms company in Zaragoza and the Ukrainian and US embassies in Madrid.
The agents have not yet identified the person who sent the letters, something that, according to sources consulted by this newspaper, would be very complicated because the letters were placed in ordinary mailboxes that lack security cameras.
However, the police have also maintained since the beginning of their investigation that the person who may be behind the mailings does not have sophisticated logistics or a sufficiently complex structure to put the agents in charge of security in the national territory in check.
